Edwin Cheong (b.1974) is an established architect, with a wealth of experience in both private and public housing projects. Apart from a strong foundation in architectural design, Edwin has also worked in the fields of furniture, product, exhibition, retail and interior design prior to starting his academic career as a design lecturer. His passion for furniture design won him the Young Designers’ Merit Award at the Singapore Furniture Design Award in 2005.
With his versatility and broad range of design experience, Edwin has been inspiring interest amongst his students in elementary as well as specific applied design education. He currently lectures at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts as Course Leader and Lecturer for Environmental Design (3D Design). Edwin has also served as a guest judge for a recent MediaCorp design production and has contributed various articles on environmental design that were published in Lianhe Zaobao as part of a series on Environment Design Education for the Young.
